Caretaker

JOB TITLE: Caretaker (two roles available)
LOCATION: Brontë House School.
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday all year round. 40 hours per week with 0.5-hour lunch break. Either: 6:30am to 3:00pm or 12:30pm to 9:00pm. Plus 6 Saturdays or Sundays a year – 8am to 4pm.
RATE OF PAY: Starts at £12.60 per hour
BENEFITS: 20 days holiday rising to 25 after 5 years’ service.
Plus 3 occasional days between Christmas and New Year, in addition to statutory bank holidays.
One on site meal a day usually either lunch or tea.
Option of discussing on site accommodation.

LOCATION: Woodhouse Grove School (including Bronte House School)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Senior Grounds person
HOURS OF WORK: 39 hours per week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7am to 3:00pm. Friday 7am to 4:30pm. Plus 6 Saturdays or Sundays a year
LEAVE ENTITLEMENT: 20 days rising to 25 after 5 years service plus Bank Holidays and other occasional days when the school is closed.

Health Care Assistant

POST TITLE: Healthcare Assistant
LOCATION: Woodhouse Grove School
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Supporting the work of the Nurses within the school medical centre and to work as part of a team of staff providing clinical, reception and administrative support under the supervision of registered nurses.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Lead Nurse/Nurse on duty
HOURS OF WORK: 24 hours per week over 4 days.
Monday to Friday excluding Wednesday
8:00am to 2.00pm or 9.00am to 3.00pm
Some flexibility on hours for the right candidate
Term time including INSET plus one week in the last week of the Summer holidays.
QUALIFICATION: Health & Social Care Qualification (Level 2 or 3) – Desirable
EXPERIENCE: Health Care Experience, ICT Literature
RATE OF PAY: £12.60 per hour
HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT: Statutory minimum entitlement, plus 1 extra week after 5 full academic years’ service, pro-rata for part time and part year workers

BREAKS: 30 min unpaid lunch per day

RESPONSIBLE TO: Nursery Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Children in Ashdown Lodge (2-4 years)

HOURS OF WORK: 12:30pm until 6pm – Monday to Friday
Term Time Only plus 4 weeks
March start (27.5 hours per week)
ANNUAL LEAVE: Statutory Minimum Holiday Pay.
You will not be eligible to take any further holiday during Term Time

Agreed shifts (can be fixed) between 6.30am-10.30pm. (6.30am to 3.30pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm with 1 hour unpaid break per day).
Plus 6 Saturdays or Sundays a year – on a rota.
All year round role.

Woodhouse Grove School is a Real Living Wage employer and will be paying a minimum of £12.60 per hour, full time equivalent salary of £26,308.80 from 01 May 2025.
