It was fantastic to welcome back one of our former students today, who returned to The Grove to share her journey into studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Nottingham.
Former Head of School Isla gave our students a brilliant and honest insight into life at veterinary school - from navigating the application and interview process and securing meaningful work experience, to the reality of the workload and what it’s really like to study Veterinary Medicine.
Isla talked about the wide range of clinical placements she has experienced, and how this summer, she even travelled to Africa to work in a neutering clinic, gaining invaluable experience in a very different setting. Isla answered students’ questions and helped to demystify the profession and also highlight all the other careers that a degree in Veterinary Medicine could lead to.

We are very proud to say our student Sam Sharp has been offered an early scholarship with Bradford City, securing his pathway with the club through to 18.
