This academic year, Woodhouse Grove is working towards the NACE Challenge Award, a nationally recognised accreditation that celebrates schools committed to providing high-quality challenge for all learners. NACE promotes the principle that raising expectations for the most able benefits every student, and this aligns closely with our approach. We have strengthened our focus on ‘cognitive challenge’, ensuring that pupils are encouraged to think deeply and engage fully in every lesson. Through clear teaching principles and ongoing staff development, we are building a consistently challenging learning environment, and the award will both recognise our progress and support our continued improvement.
