While our pupils have been (hopefully!) switching off and recharging over Easter, the teams at Woodhouse Grove and Brontë House have been anything but quiet.
Holiday periods are one of the few windows we have to carry out meaningful improvements across the site without disrupting the school day, and this Easter has been no exception. Investing in our estate is something we take seriously; from large-scale infrastructure to the finishing touches that make a real difference to daily life, every term brings new progress. Here’s a look at what’s been happening this Easter.
At The Grove
The catering team now has a brand-new Maidaid-Halcyon QX246 flight dishwasher at their disposal; capable of washing over 2,400 plates per hour, alongside a fully refurbished wash-up area, a new lighting system and a stainless double sink with high-powered jet spray. Elsewhere on site, the science staircase has had a refresh, the Martin Hall stairs have been updated, and what was previously the Art IT room has been transformed into a dedicated studio space.
At Brontë House
Up the road, the dining hall has been freshly painted and new fencing installed around the netball court, playground and car park. Work has also been underway at South Lodge, with new flooring and a kitchen upgrade completed before the start of term.
At Woodhouse Grove, we believe that the environments our pupils learn and live in matter. Our ongoing programme of investment across the estate means that no term passes without something being improved, upgraded or reimagined; because giving our pupils the very best means more than what happens in the classroom. It means the whole experience.
