A Priceless Start at Brontë House

At Brontë House, we value the commitment and sacrifice that underlie every parent’s decision to entrust us with their child’s education. We also understand the pressures that modern day parents face: the balance between work and home; childcare organisation; the logistics of after school activities; the planning and preparation of nutritious family meals – and, of course, the constant worry about the happiness and well-being of every member of the family. This is why we make sure that we do everything we can to blend school life seamlessly into home life and ease those parental burdens. When a child joins Brontë House as a pupil, the whole family becomes part of the Brontë community.

Our wraparound care is key to this. Pupils can be dropped off as early as 7.30am and picked up by 6pm – all included in the fees. During this time, they can enjoy a delicious breakfast and tea and participate in a variety of activities – again, at no extra cost. Many of our parents comment on how much better this is for the family than having to organise childminders or ask grandparents to pick up. Not only do they no longer have to juggle work commitments and childcare but the stability and reassurance of being able to remain at school, often with their friends, having fun until they are picked up by mum or dad, makes for happier and more relaxed children. And, by default, happier and more relaxed parents!

What’s more, with so much on offer as part of the school day at Brontë House, there’s no need for any parental guilt about the number of out of school activities that can be squeezed into each evening. Swimming lessons are covered as every Brontë pupil receives regular sessions in the school pool from Reception upwards – at no extra cost. They also enjoy rugby, netball, cricket and athletics with specialist coaches and, unlike many primary schools, are actively encouraged to participate in a full programme of competitive fixtures. Music and drama? All Brontë children benefit from lessons with specialist staff and have the opportunity to perform in numerous concerts and productions over the course of the year. For those children who do want individual lessons on a specific instrument or in Speech and Drama, our well-qualified team of visiting instrumental and drama specialists can slot these lessons into the school day.

What does all this mean for our Brontë families? It means less stress, less rushing and more family time. It also means easier budgeting. A lot of our parents are surprised how much all those “extras” would add up to, if they hadn’t chosen Brontë; the childcare, the dinners and breakfasts, the swimming lessons, the sports club fees, the music and drama tuition…When you add in time saved and smiles made, the value that Brontë adds to family life really is priceless.

As the parent of one of our recent starters said, when asked what advice they would give to anyone considering Brontë for their child:

“Don’t delay, send them to Brontë, it’s the best decision you can make.”

Brontë House – a bright beginning for a bright future.
