GRENFELL TOWER FIRE – School Fire Risk Assessment Review

Following the horrific Grenfell Tower fire, the government has undertaken precautionary assessments of buildings in particular sectors, including schools. They are seeking to ensure that all bodies responsible for the maintenance of schools take appropriate precautionary measures for all of their buildings.

Woodhouse Grove School have taken the opportunity to revisit the school fire risk assessments which were done by external consultants in February 2017 and we have not identified any new issues. This review confirmed that all fire risk assessments were up to date covering all school buildings and that all staff and pupils undertake regular fire drills.
