Today we say goodbye to our Thai immersion students after 3 fantastic weeks at Woodhouse Grove School!
They fully immersed themselves in our school community and took advantage of the academic, co-curricular, and enrichment opportunities on offer.
We hope that some may return in the near future for longer stays with us. They developed lifelong friendships and were a pleasure to have as part of our boarding community and will be truly missed.

On Monday Matty, Oliver and Jude represented the school in the Yorkshire School's Golf Team Final. This was after qualifying as winners of the West Yorkshire round. The team put in a very good performance in tough and windy conditions. The team were very unlucky to miss out on qualification for the National School's Final later this summer by only 1 Stableford point.
However, there was individual success with Matty H winning the individual Stableford competition on the day with an impressive 41 points. We look forward to trying to develop golf further at WGS.

“Academic staff meet regularly to reflect on the latest teaching and learning research and spend time planning and embedding the ideas into their daily teaching. In a recent before-school session, teachers collaborated on developing new strategies that support students with a particular focus on challenging the more able.”
