It was a privilege to watch the Senior Debating Final yesterday between Findlay and Atkinson Houses debating "This House believes assisted dying should be legalised in England and Wales".
The speakers were passionate and articulate with thoroughly researched and well-constructed arguments on both sides of the motion.
Well done to both teams for their confident performance, and particularly to Atkinson on their narrow victory.

At Woodhouse Grove, we pride ourselves on providing a true home away from home for our boarders, and this past weekend was a shining example of that.
On Saturday, we hosted the Boarders' Christmas Ball, a magical evening filled with festive cheer. The night began with a delicious three-course dinner, followed by an evening of fun and celebration. While some enjoyed dancing at the disco and posing for photos in the photobooth, others took to the playground to ride the bumper cars—an absolute highlight of the night!
Sunday brought a more relaxed pace as we enjoyed a beautiful Carols and Readings Service in the chapel. Some of our talented boarders even sang in the choir, adding to the special atmosphere.
It was a weekend filled with joy, laughter, and lasting memories, reminding us of the importance of making this season magical for our boarding community. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff who made it so wonderful!
