Our Battlefields Year 9 Trip has had a very busy start! Friday was all about The Battle of the Somme, with the group visiting the Tank Corps Memorial, Lochnager Crater, Thiepval Memorial and Newfoundland Park. A day of learning and reflection.

📚 Educational trips like our History Battlefields Tour and the Geography Iceland Excursion bring classroom learning to life.
⚽Sports tours, across the UK and Europe, help build teamwork and resilience.
⛰️ From Year 10 onwards, students can take on the Duke of Edinburgh Award, pushing their limits and developing key life skills.
⛷️As for our Grove ski trips...let's just say they are always very popular!

End of Term Recap!
It’s been a brilliant term full of exciting sports results, from our win at Ampleforth and Scarborough 7s, to Netball Festival wins and our first ever appearance in a National football final.
We’ve also had some amazing events in-school, with EDI week, Science Week and World Book Day all happening this term.
Have a wonderful Easter break, and we’ll see you back in school on the 21st April!

An awards evening for students in all year groups to celebrate another incredible year of Cross-Country at The Grove!
A drinks reception will begin at 5:15pm in the Hastings-Long Gallery, with awards presented in the Theatre from 5:30pm.

2024 saw our girls take their skill, teamwork and determination all the way to the Caribbean, and they delivered in style. Competing abroad challenges our athletes in ways that go far beyond sport, fostering resilience and a truly global outlook.
Behind every tour like this is the support of our 100 Club, a monthly prize draw open to parents, alumni and friends of the school. Every entry makes a difference.

Approximately 97% of flower-rich meadows have been lost since the 1930s, but the No Mow May iniative can make a difference. Leaving our green spaces to grow longer will help give local wildlife the boost it needs.
This week and over the Easter break, we have over 50 students heading off on the Battlefields Trip and more than 60 taking to the slopes on our Ski Trip. ⛷️
