Connor Elliott, Y7, has recently been acknowledged by the Theatre Royal Wakefield as one of their success stories – an honour usually reserved for adults.

Connor joined the Theatre Royal Wakefield Performance Academy when he was 5 years old and, after appearing in their annual showcases, auditioned and got a part in Oliver in 2014 and more recently appeared as part of the ensemble in this year’s spectacular Jesus Christ Superstar. Connor has enjoyed a number of professional theatre roles including appearing as Bengi, alongside Jason Donovan in the National Tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. He has also worked on CBBC’s Gigglebiz and recently starred in Gogglesprogs on Channel 4.

And his advice to other up and coming young stars?

“Just express yourself and be yourself! Lose the fear of being wrong, find your path and go for it.”
