GCSE results worth celebrating!

Our amazing Year 11s and their families kicked off their GCSE celebrations with breakfast and balloons in the Sixth Form Building. They certainly had something to celebrate…

• 130 Grade 9s – 13% of all grades
• 30% of pupils got 8 or more 7/8/9 grades
• 39% of pupils achieved at least 6 high grades (7 or better)
• 61% students gained at least one 8 or 9 grade
• 28 students averaged 7.5 or better
• 89% of pupils achieved 5 or more GCSE passes

And our most important statistic?

100% of pupils worked their Grovian socks off, rising to the challenge to be the best that they can be.

Congratulations to each and every one of you. We cannot wait to watch you continue to grow, take on new challenges and keep wowing us with all that you achieve. This is definitely a year group that is going places!

And, of course, a message from the Headmaster, Mr James Lockwood:

“Congratulations Year 11. From our academic high-flyers to those pupils for whom academic achievement comes less easily, I am equally proud of you all. You have risen to the challenge of GCSEs like true Grovians and your hard work and resilience has been justly rewarded. Whilst you have contributed to school life in so many different ways throughout your time at The Grove, it is always a pleasure to witness your academic efforts opening the first of many doors on the path to achieving your greatest aspirations. Well done!
