This week, Woodhouse Grove has come alive with colour, conversation and community as we celebrated our annual EDI Week; one of the most vibrant and meaningful occasions in our school calendar.

Students have had several opportunities to get involved: a whole-school Macarena at break time that had students and staff dancing side by side in the Quad, signing our ‘Love Not Hate’ installation, Henna bookmarks made by our senior students, and a multicultural fashion show in the sunshine. The week has been a joyful reminder of what makes The Grove such a special place to be.

“Our EDI Week is one of the most powerful moments in our school calendar because it brings our whole community together in a spirit of celebration, curiosity and joy. It gives students a chance to learn from one another, embrace what makes us unique, and recognise the values we all share. Each year it grows in energy and enthusiasm, becoming one of the most anticipated weeks in school—an opportunity not only to educate, but to connect, celebrate and simply have fun together.”— Becky Vernon, Head of Wellbeing and PSHCE.

EDI Week is a celebration of everything that makes our Grovian community stronger; our differences, our shared humanity and the values that bind us together. We are incredibly proud of the spirit shown by every single student and member of staff throughout the week.
