Our Xaipete cover girl goes from strength to strength…

… and we could not be prouder.

It only seems like yesterday when a young girl called Ellie Kildunne was making her mark on the Grove rugby pitches. Now, she is electrifying the stands, alongside her Red Roses teammates, in the 2025 Rugby Women’s World Cup.

The whole Grove Community is cheering her on;  not only the pupils and staff who were at school with Ellie from 2011-2016  but, also, those that came to The Grove after she left.  Because Ellie has never forgotten her Grovian roots and has returned to school many times over the years, sharing her experiences, offering advice and inspiring today’s young Grovians.  She has even taking the occasional training session!

Ellie’s generosity of spirit to spare her precious time to give back to the school is a testament to the person she is; someone who embodies every Grovian Value to the full and is a true ambassador for The Grove.

We are so very proud of you Ellie – and are behind you all the way.
