School Charity 2024

Breast Cancer Now

On Monday, 13th May, all the children took part in a colour run as our annual school fundraising effort.

Our fundraising efforts this year will be in aid of the charity Breast Cancer Now. As our parents will be aware, we often support charities who have touched the lives of our families, and this year is no exception. In January 2024, we lost one of our Brontë parents, Elizabeth Lammas, to secondary breast cancer. With three children in the School and, at the age of just 42, this was much too soon. Following this tragic event, and in support of their friend in Year 6, a number of children have come forward and requested that fundraising efforts this year be focused on raising money to fund further research into breast cancer. This disease has also affected a number of other Brontë families and we feel sure parents will agree this is a charity very worthy of our support.

You can donate through JustGiving which is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Whatever your donation, I’m sure that you’ll agree that this is a very worthy cause and one that is very much in our minds at this time. Don’t forget to share this link with family and friends from further afield so that they can show their support for our children in their fundraising efforts.
