A-level Results 2026: Celebrating the Class of 2026
This year’s results reflect a cohort that has worked incredibly hard to achieve their goals, with particularly strong performances across a range of STEM subjects and outstanding results in our BTEC courses.
30% of grades were awarded at A*-A, 60% at A*-B and 85% at A*-C, with an exceptional 99% achieving A*–E. A third of the year group achieved ABB or better, highlighting the breadth of strong academic achievement across the cohort.
These results build positively on the students’ GCSE outcomes and, against a national picture of increasingly stable A-level grading, demonstrate the commitment and determination of our students throughout their Sixth Form journey.
The Class of 2026 are now heading in an exciting range of directions, reflecting the depth and diversity of interests, talents and ambitions across the year group. University destinations include St Andrews, Durham, Warwick, Bristol, Sheffield, York, Newcastle, UCL and King’s College London, with students progressing to study subjects ranging from Medicine, Mathematics and Computer Science to Economics, Engineering, Pharmacology, Philosophy and Politics & Economics. Others are embarking on degree apprenticeships and employment, taking their first steps into the world of work.
This breadth of destinations and courses reflects the many different pathways available to our students and the individual ambitions they have developed during their time at The Grove.
But results are about more than statistics. Behind every grade is an individual story of ambition, hard work and personal achievement.
Whether progressing to university, starting an apprenticeship, entering employment or pursuing another pathway, our students are now ready to take their next steps with confidence.
We are delighted to celebrate just some of these exceptional results:
Zac Nelson – A*A*A*A* plus A* in EPQ – Mathematics at Warwick University
Luca Bursac – A*A*A* – Medicine at St Andrews
Kakhaber Kiladze – A*A*A – Economics at Warwick University

“Today is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the Class of 2026 and the young people they have become during their time at The Grove. We are immensely proud of each and every one of them, not only for what they have achieved, but for the character, confidence and friendships they have built along the way.
As they take their next steps, we wish them every happiness and success. They will always be part of the Grove community, and we look forward to seeing all that they go on to achieve. From all of us at The Grove, congratulations and good luck for the future.”
