Looking back at our Year 7 Entrance Examinations
Saturday marked another milestone in our admissions calendar as our prospective students joined us for our Year 7 entrance examinations. The atmosphere throughout the day was one of focused determination mixed with genuine excitement, and we were delighted to welcome so many bright young minds to our school.
Our entrance process reflects what makes Woodhouse Grove distinctive. Whilst our examinations provide valuable insights into academic ability, they represent just one piece of a much larger picture. We believe in looking at the whole individual, their character, their curiosity, and their potential to thrive in our community. This is why our interview process holds equal importance, allowing us to discover the unique qualities and aspirations each young person brings.
This flexible, holistic approach to admissions is what sets us apart. We’re not looking for merely examination results, we seek individuals who will embrace our Grovian values, contribute to our caring community, and discover their full potential in everything they do. Every child has unique strengths, and our admissions process is designed to recognise and celebrate these differences.
To all the families who joined us on Saturday, thank you for considering Woodhouse Grove as the next step in your child’s educational journey. We look forward to continuing conversations with you in the coming weeks as we complete our admissions process. For those yet to explore what makes our school special, we’d love to welcome you for a visit to experience our community first-hand.
