We are delighted to announce that our school podcast, Grovian Voices, has been shortlisted for the Institute of Development Professionals in Education (IDPE) Development Awards in the ‘Engagement Campaign of the Year’ category.

This recognition celebrates the exceptional work of our Development Officer, Eve Corry, in bringing our Old Grovian community together, sharing inspiring stories of achievement, leadership, and service. Through Grovian Voices, listeners hear from former students and members of staff who embody our core values: demonstrating integrity, loyalty and commitment whilst making a positive difference in their fields.

The podcast exemplifies our ethos to foster mature, caring behaviour and social responsibility, extending these values beyond the school gates. Each episode showcases how our Grovian values continue to shape lives long after our students and staff leave us, and remind all students, both past and present, staff, and families, of our lasting connection to The Grove.

This shortlisting is testament to the dedication and creativity of our Development Officer, who has worked incredibly hard over her first year of service to strengthen connections within our community and celebrate the remarkable journeys of Old Grovians. The podcast has become an invaluable tool for celebrating Grove life, allowing current pupils, staff, parents and alumni to connect with the broader Grovian family.

“It’s been such a joy to see Grovian Voices grow into a platform that celebrates the incredible people who make up our community. Being shortlisted for this IDPE Award is a real honour and a testament to the passion, collaboration and creativity behind every episode. I’m so grateful to everyone who’s shared their stories and supported the podcast – it’s their voices that truly make it special.”
