Woodhouse Grove Snow Policy Statement
 
Parents are reminded that the school is unlikely to close in the case of snow. Parents can check with Fourways (0113 250 5800) to confirm that their bus services are still operating but given the proximity to school for many pupils and staff as well as our boarding and residential provision we can always provide some sort of service even in the harshest of weather.
 
For logistical reasons, our provision may not be consistent with a “normal timetable” but we will continue to provide lessons and supervised activities (and meals) on snow days.
If in the unlikely event we decide to close the school early (as has happened only once in recent history, on 2nd Feb 2009), we will contact parents of day pupils. In this event, where a pupil’s travel arrangements are a concern, we will continue to exercise our duty of care until such time as they can be personally collected by a parent or nominated adult.
 
Following the release of this statement there should be no need to call the school.
