Learning Support – New Starter Information

In order to help you settle, and for staff to get to know you, I would like you to send us a few personal details and I shall use the information you give me to produce a short ‘pupil profile’ that all your subject teachers will be given.

PUPILS:
Please let me have a little information about:
(1) your interests (within and outside school)
(2) what you are good at and
(3) what you find hard (and need some help with).

PARENTS:
Could I please ask you to complete the forms below with your thoughts. They can be downloaded and emailed back to myself at monk.b@woodhousegrove.co.uk  One is to be filled in by the pupil and one by the parent.

Your child will be on our ‘watching brief’ list (where we can keep an eye on them from a distance and step in to help if needed) and will follow the full timetable with the rest of their form (unless alternative arrangements have been made directly with me).  Your child will also be given an invite to the weekly lunchtime ‘chocolate biscuit club’ where informal contact is made in a friendly, low key, environment.
NB. It is a social setting, not a time to work on spellings.

Myself and Mrs Jemmett (Assistant Head of Learning Support: jemmett.c@woodhousegrove.co.uk ) are the ‘link teachers’ for you and for all who teach your child. Should any concerns arise, in relation to known difficulties, we are the first points of contact.

I look forward to helping you make the transition to, and progress through, Woodhouse Grove as easy as possible.
