We are ready to warmly welcome our 2025 Year 7 candidates to The Grove for their Entrance Exams. 🌟
It may come as a surprise that, unlike other schools, our entrance examinations only form part of our Admissions Process and do not have a pass mark. The fact that selection at this stage is not solely based on academic performance is a decision that was made after careful consideration and is a key element of our ethos as a school. 💚

Well done to our WGS students who competed at the Yorkshire Cross-Country Championships at Lightwater Valley on Saturday, 4th January 2025!

🌟 This week’s absolute stars are our amazing Grounds Team! 🌟
👏 They’ve gone above and beyond to ensure the school site was safe and ready for our boarders’ return on Monday and the start of term yesterday.
💪 On site before 5am every morning, they’ve worked tirelessly. And when the snow made a surprise comeback yesterday afternoon, whilst they were on their way home, they decided to turn back and return to school to ensure pupils could be picked up safely and school buses left on time. 🚍❄️
🌳 Thank you Simon, Chris, Hal, Tom, Carl – and Alan & Scott at Brontë House – you’re a vital and much appreciated part of the Grove community. 🙌

*EXTERNAL EXAMINATION CANDIDATES MUST BE IN SCHOOL IN TIME FOR THEIR EXAMS*
Due to the extreme weather conditions all OUTDOOR co-curricular activities after school today have been cancelled.
Students who remain in school after 4pm, who are not partaking in indoor co-curricular activities, will be directed to the inside provision for their year group.
Further information will follow tomorrow outlining the co-curricular provision for the rest of the week.
Buses will be leaving at normal times.

We’re thrilled to welcome back our students tomorrow morning! After the festive catchups, it’s time to dive into an exciting Spring Term.
What an incredible term it's been at Woodhouse Grove, filled with talent, passion, and creativity! 🌟
We were blown away by our Chicago - Teen Edition production, which sold out on both nights and left audiences in awe. Bravo to everyone involved!
Earlier in the term, our Year 7 and 8 students shone brightly in the Spotlight Production, proving that the future of performing arts at The Grove is brighter than ever.
There have been an incredible array of clubs throughout the year, such as our ukulele club, grove singers, pop choir, and many more. We have been blown away by the amount of students that have got involved and we look forward to this continuing next term.
To top it all off, our Christmas Carols Service and our end of term concert brought the festive spirit alive, thanks to the incredible efforts of our talented students and staff.
We are so proud of the energy, enthusiasm, and talent in our school. 🎉 We can’t wait to see what next term brings! ⭐
