It was a privilege to welcome Mr Waterhouse back into school today to give a talk on Cosmology to some of our Year 11 and 12 physics students. The students learnt about many aspects of cosmology including the scientists who have made major discoveries, and the physics behind topics such as the Big Bang Theory and dark matter. It was a thoroughly enjoyable talk - thank you to Mr Waterhouse for giving up his time to come into school to share his enthusiasm and knowledge with the students (and staff!)

The Grove Athlete Performance Programme – a serious programme for serious athletes.
Our well-established GAPP supports students competing at International, National, Regional or County level with a holistic approach, covering well-being, sports psychology, fitness programming, physiotherapy and career guidance.
From personalised training diaries to liaising with external coaches, our specialist sport staff know each athlete personally and ensure every plan is tailored to their ambitions - providing all the support they need to coordinate academic life around their sporting commitments.

Tomorrow is another LSAA Cross Country League race here at Woodhouse Grove School, with 700 athletes set to take part!
Races begin at 9:30, and the last race will commence at roughly 11:30 🏃
If you are heading to the school to support your child or to cheer on the school, please note that parking will be immensely limited as we are expecting a high turnout.
