A Friendly Start at Brontë House
Children learn an enormous amount at primary school – and not just academically. It is the softer, social skills that are fostered during this time that are the key to future happiness. A good school will provide its pupils with a nurturing and safe environment where they can learn to understand and appreciate other individuals, develop friendships and practise the social skills that will stay with them forever.
At Brontë House, class sizes are small enough to enable our teachers to get to know and understand each pupil and for individualism to be celebrated and allowed to flourish. However, we are also large enough to provide children with a wide social circle in which to learn about friendship in a fluid and relaxed manner – with none of the pressures felt when class numbers are limited.
We have lost count of the number of times visitors have commented on how friendly and happy our school feels – and how gregarious and polite our pupils are. We understand what a privilege it is to be entrusted with the care of children at such a formative time of their lives. Whilst it is always sad to see our Year 6 pass through our doors for the last time, we know that they leave us as confident, well-rounded and emotionally resilient individuals, well equipped for every aspect of the wonderful world that lies in wait for them.
We asked the parents of some of our recent starters what they thought…
“Since coming to Brontë, my child has blossomed.”
“The best thing about Brontë House is how happy it makes my child. To see my daughter so positive about school, making friends and feeling safe and supported in the school is invaluable.”
“Both the staff and children have been very welcoming and kind. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. [My daughter] feels comfortable and is growing in confidence – she has also started putting her hand up in class and is able to speak freely to the teachers, something she couldn’t do before.”
“Since coming to Brontë, my child has formed new friendships and built on the team skills he already had.”
“What I would say to any parent considering Brontë for their child…don’t delay, send them to Brontë, it’s the best decision you can make.”
Brontë House – a bright beginning for a bright future
