National Careers Week – 3 to 8 March 2025

At Woodhouse Grove, we take great pride in the success of our pupils and the diverse paths they pursue — whether launching their own businesses, leading A&E departments, writing TV shows, or flying fighter jets! Our students leave us with the confidence and resilience to thrive in an ever-changing world.

As part of National Careers Week, we want to highlight just a few of the ways we support them on their journey towards fulfilling and rewarding careers.

Futures Fridays

A dedicated Grove programme designed to equip students with essential skills, explore career pathways, and prepare for life beyond school. Through Futures Fridays, students engage in personal development activities that enhance their profiles—helping them stand out to universities, employers, and training providers.

Globalbridge

An innovative digital learner profile that allows students to showcase their academic achievements, co-curricular involvement, leadership experience, and creative talents in an interactive, media-rich, and secure online format.

Digital learner profiles like Globalbridge are becoming increasingly valuable, as universities and employers now look beyond traditional qualifications, placing greater emphasis on a student’s broader skill set, character, and aspirations. By using Globalbridge, our students stay ahead of the curve, ensuring they can effectively communicate their strengths in a competitive environment.

Business Partnerships

As part of our forward-thinking Sixth Form Pathways, key business partners provide valuable work experience opportunities—up to 45 days—for students looking to move directly into employment or apprenticeships after Sixth Form.

Interview Preparation

With the generous support of our staff, Old Grovians and Grovian parents, our Sixth Form students gain invaluable interview practice, preparing them for university applications and employment opportunities.

Business Talks & Visits

Throughout the academic year, Grovians and Grovian parents from a wide range of industries, offer career talks, sharing insights into their sectors and providing guidance on how to maximise employment prospects.
