An Enhanced Offering at Brontë House

Co-curricular opportunities in primary school are essential for holistic child development, enhancing skills like teamwork, creativity, and resilience. These activities allow children to explore interests outside the classroom, fostering belonging and confidence while encouraging a love of learning and vital life skills.

At Brontë, we believe sport goes beyond physical fitness; it promotes personal growth, leadership, and resilience. Our pupils can participate in various sports, including rugby, netball, cricket, athletics, and swimming, with opportunities to represent Brontë House in competitive fixtures. Our experienced sports staff support all levels, creating an inclusive and fun programme for both beginners and talented athletes.

We also view the Performing Arts as integral to every pupil’s experience. While some schools are having to reduce their focus on this area, we fully embrace it. All pupils are encouraged to learn a musical instrument and take part in concerts and productions, benefiting from our partnership with Woodhouse Grove and their 220-seat theatre.

Whether natural performers or more reserved, every student finds their place in our productions, particularly in our annual Year 6 musical. The confidence gained through supportive participation in the Performing Arts enhances not only their stage presence but their overall school experience. At Brontë, every pupil is a star, and their involvement in the arts helps them shine even brighter.
